Spider Vein Solutions
Safe, Effective Treatments
For Veins That Hold You Back
Spider veins can feel like more than just a cosmetic issue. They often interfere with daily life and confidence. Many people find themselves avoiding shorts, dresses, or swimwear, or feeling the need to cover their legs even in warm weather. Some may shy away from social events or feel self-conscious during vacations, workouts, or even casual outings because of visible veins on the legs or face. These small, noticeable vessels, often caused by genetics, hormones, pregnancy, or long periods of standing, can quietly chip away at how comfortable you feel in your own skin.
At Bijoux Med Spa & Wellness in Orlando, we’re here to help you reclaim that confidence. As your trusted partner in vein care, we specialize in safe, effective spider vein removal treatments like sclerotherapy and laser that are designed to minimize or eliminate unwanted veins with little to no downtime. With expert care and advanced solutions, we position ourselves as your hero in achieving smoother skin, restored confidence, and the freedom to wear what you love without worry.
What is Sclerotherapy
and How Does It Work?
The procedure is quick, usually taking only about 15 to 30 minutes per session, and requires no downtime, allowing patients to resume their normal activities immediately afterward.
Over the following weeks and months, the treated veins gradually fade from view, leaving behind smoother, clearer skin. Multiple sessions may be needed to achieve optimal results, depending on the extent of the vein problem and the individual’s response to treatment.
Overall, sclerotherapy offers a safe, reliable, and proven solution for addressing unsightly spider veins and varicose veins, helping patients regain confidence in their appearance and enjoy healthier, more beautiful legs.

Pre- & Post Care
guidelines
PRE CARE
- 14 DAYS BEFORE: Limit sun exposure two weeks before treatment.
- Bring compression socks or hose to wear when you leave the office. You must wear these for one week after treatment. We recommend thigh-high or pantyhose style with 20 to 30 Hg compression (you can purchase off Amazon).
- 7 DAYS BEFORE: DO NOT use blood thinning substances such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and/or Vitamin E at least one week before treatment to decrease bruising or bleeding. AVOID blood thinning over-the-counter medications such as Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, and Aleve. Also avoid herbal supplements, such as Garlic, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and Omega-3 capsules. Please note: If you have a cardiovascular history, please check with your doctor prior to stopping use of Aspirin. Start taking Arnika and/or Bromelain supplements to help reduce the risk of bruising. These are available in office to purchase.
- 5 DAYS BEFORE: DO NOT use bronzers or tanning lotions on your legs.
DAY OF TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Eat a light meal one hour prior to your appointment.
- Bring loose-fitting shorts or dress to wear during the procedure.
- Bring your medical-grade, pantyhose-style support hose with you to your appointment. Consider them an important part of your treatment. Gentle compression of the legs will accelerate healing, reduce swelling and bruising, and lessen discomfort.
- If you do not have a medical grade compression stocking at the time of your appointment you can not be treated and subject to rescheduling fee of $50.
- The support stockings may be removed in the evening but should be worn as much as possible while awake and on your feet.
POST CARE
- It is not unusual to have tenderness and bruising at the injection sites in the first 2 to 3 days following treatment. These symptoms can usually be relieved by elevation of the leg(s). Use of a heating pad may help.
- If necessary, you may take Advil or Tylenol (preferred over aspirin – which may cause increased bruising).
- You may resume normal activities. Avoid strenuous physical activity such as aerobics, jogging, and heavy lifting for the first 2 to 3 days after procedure.
- Avoid prolonged standing in one position. If you must stand in one place, move your feet or toes frequently or support one foot on a small stool or box.
- Wear your medical-grade, pantyhose-style support hose during the day for 7 to 14 days after treatment. If you develop swelling in your ankle or foot or have unexpected pain, be sure the compression bandage or support stockings are not too tight or improperly fitted. If you find you must restrict your activities or your return to work, please call our office.
- Limit sun exposure for 4 to 6 weeks after treatment.
- DO NOT apply creams or lotions to your legs for 24 hours after treatment.
- If swelling occurs over an injection site, elevate and apply ice to the affected leg.
- Small dark clots may develop in the treated veins. Contact your provider if one of the clotted areas becomes very red, tender, and/or inflamed.
- A small, superficial ulceration of the skin may occur over an injected vein. This usually does not leave a scar but needs to be examined immediately by your provider.
- Irritation of the injected vein rarely occurs. This can be treated with compression stockings and anti-inflammatory medications such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
- Continue taking Arnika and/or Bromelain supplements to help reduce the risk of bruisingfor 5-7 days after. These are available in office to purchase.
